Premiered on Amazon Prime Video in May 2020, Upload is a science fiction comedy drama series that narrates a man’s life after his death. It is produced by some of the well-known production houses like Amazon Studios, Deedle-Dee Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Unorthodox

The Netflix miniseries premiered in March 2020, traces the life of a woman who broke free from an unhappy marriage and the ultra-orthodox community she lives in. The miniseries is adapted by the autobiography Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots by Deborah Feldman. Directed by Maria Schrader, the miniseries won several accolades such as the German Television Awards for Best Production and Costume Design, Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special and APRA Screen Music Awards for Best Television Theme and Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie.

I May Destroy You

I May Destroy You narrates the life of a young woman whose life changes irreversibly after an unfortunate event at the nightclub. Directed by Sam Miller and Michaela Coel, the series is emotional as well as hilarious.

Released on 23 October 2020, Queen’s Gambit became Netflix’s most-watched miniseries after four weeks of release. The period drama miniseries was very well-received by the audience and piqued everyone’s interest in the game again. Directed by Scott Frank, it is based on the American novel of the same name written by Walter Tevis.

Ted Lasso
